Gerard is an asset management professional with over 34 years experience in all aspects of maintenance and reliability for both mobile and fixed plant mining assets as well as leading an organisation that has developed a solid client base in Transportation and Gas. Gerard has worked in all roles from tradesperson to global practice leader for maintenance. His corporate experience has been across several large mining companies, including BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, Peabody and Anglo and in many countries including Indonesia and Chile. Over the past 7 years Gerard has helped a broad range of clients including small, medium and large companies to improve their asset performance and bottom line. Gerard is passionate about asset management and practical outcomes for businesses. He has always held a vision for the industries that he serves – “assets are managed across their life cycle to achieve the best business bottom line outcomes and maintenance is recognised as enabling businesses to achieve superior performance”.

When does the course start and finish?
The course has been designed maintenance contractor supervisors working in the mining industry. This version of the course has been developed specifically for CQFMS. It starts after the supervisor has been nominated by CQFMS and sends in their information. The online component is self paced but must be completed prior to the face to face module 7, which will be organised by the CQFMS leadership.
How long do I have access to the course?
You have access to the online component until the face to face workshop has been completed.
What if I am unhappy with the course?
We will be following up with each and every participant to get feedback and continually improve the course. We do not expect it to be perfect but we do expect you will get some important learning to help your continued development as a supervisor. This is just a foundation to build from!
